Listening Now - Posted on 5/3/2012
I was sitting here typing up a paper during my last finals week. I wasn't thinking, didn't even think about writing a poem, and then something possessed me. I wrote this in a few seconds, but it's me right now. It's where I see myself in the world. I don't know if anyone will get anything out of it.

Control - Posted on 28/9/11
This is the first brand new poem I've posted on here. I wrote it today in class. Eventually, the idea is to be able to update the site as I write, but as for now it's mainly going to be a backlogging. The poem itself is about giving up control, allowing things to happen even though it isn't such an easy thing to do, and the difficulties that are in the mind vs. the heart. It's about loneliness and longing.

To Love - Posted on 28/9/11
As the name implies, this is about what it means to love. To love is to sacrifice and hurt beyond what you think you can handle, but it is happiness. To love is to live.

The Caitiff's End - Posted on 25/9/11
This poem is about the abrupt and utter realization of opportunity missed, a mechanized society, and one man's reaction to it all.

No Heroes in Our Mirrors - Posted on 25/9/11
Mostly, the poem stands as an indictment of society's delirious vanity, but inability to rise to meet the needs of the less fortunate.

Psalm for Class - Posted on 26/9/11
We had to write a "Psalm" for class when I was in Rome. I thought of my feelings: loneliness, homesickness, etc.
